Third Sector’s 5th National Housing and Homelessness Forum is Australia’s leading forum that tackles challenges in the sector with innovative housing and homelessness services and delivery models. To help build a more peaceful, prosperous, resilient, and sustainable future informed by science and evidence, the Nobel Foundation and the U.S. National Academy of Sciences are joining forces to present the second Nobel Prize Summit Truth, Trust and Hope which will be held online and in-person in Washington, D.C. from 24-26 May 2023.  The event will convene Nobel Prize laureates and other experts, information technology and business leaders, policymakers, journalists, educators, and youth from around the world to engage in constructive dialogue on actively combating the spread of mis- and disinformation, share evidence-based knowledge and global experiences, and help restore trust and confidence in science, institutions, and systems of society.

Join us for the August 2023 meeting of the Health Promotion Learning and Teaching Community of Practice: Case scenario‐based teaching: Student transition and critical thinking.

Critical thinking is essential to health promotion to overcome increasingly complex health issues. International students are often disadvantaged when required to demonstrate critical thinking, mainly because of their previous training in memorisation. A/Prof Hosseinzadeh will present a study which addresses this need by showcasing the effect of case scenario-based teaching on transition from memorisation to critical thinking among international students in an Australian university.
