New South Wales & ACT Branch

The NSW Branch was established in 2001 with Marilyn Wise as the interim President. A major impetus for the formation of the Branch was the Australian Health Promotion Association 14th National Conference which was successfully held in Sydney in 2002. Since that time the Branch membership has steadily grown.

In 2017 we merged with the ACT Branch and became the New South Wales – Australian Capital Territory Branch (NSW–ACT). This Branch now serves members in both NSW and ACT.

The Branch Committee is always seeking to improve on the services and information we provide to our members. To enable us to do this, we need your feedback. If you have an idea or suggestion please let us know. The Committee is also looking for members who would like to help on particular working groups but do not necessarily want to officially become a Committee representative. If you would like to become involved, we would love to hear from you.

All NSW-ACT members receive regular updates via email from the Branch. Topics include job opportunities, notice of professional development activities, international, national and state information relevant to the field of health promotion, notice of new resources and websites, the Branch newsletter health promotion signals and lots more.
