Public forum: What opportunities are there to progress public health issues since 18 May?

As the Federal election outcome has now sunk in, we all must recalibrate and look to the key public health issues and how they can be advanced. Where are the greatest gains available, what levers can we pull and what might be the best investment of our limited resources?

Terry Slevin, CEO Public Health Association Austrlaia, will offer a view from his role while scoping the opportunities and offering some longer term thinking and wrestling with the simple question “What’s next for public health”. But he notes, simple question rarely have simple answers.
