The AHPA NSW-ACT Branch are calling for nominations on the Branch Committee for 2024/25. All positions on the Branch Committee for 2024-2025 are now open for nomination. On the 4th April 2024 during the NSW- ACT Branch Annual Members Meeting, the Branch Committee will be elected.
What's involved
Committee members are expected to attend Committee meetings throughout the year (usually every 6 weeks) and to participate in decision-making at these meetings. They are also asked to assist in the planning and delivery of the Committee's work, including, for example, event organisation, preparation of submissions to government inquiries, and the promotion of AHPA membership.
This work is expected to take up to 1-2 hours a week.
Am I eligible?
All NSW/ACT members are eligible to join the Committee. Committee members would ideally have a working knowledge of health promotion and at least one year of health promotion experience. Note that this is an ideal, not a requirement.
In particularly we would like to encourage any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members and any members from outside of Sydney (including ACT) to consider joining to ensure we have a diverse representation of views on the Committee.
