The Australian Health Promotion Association SA Branch and the Public Health Association of Australia SA Branch are holding the SA Population Health Conference in person in October 2024 for the first time since 2019. This is the premier developmental opportunity in South Australia for emerging public health researchers and practitioners to present their work to a local audience.
The conference is being organised in collaboration with our partners with the organising committee and scientific committee representing the SA Branches of the Australian Health Promotion Association, Public Health Association of Australia, the Australasian Epidemiological Association, the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine, Preventive Health SA, and the South Australian Council of Social Services.
We have a fantastic program developing, with Minister Chris Picton MP, the SA Minister for Health and Wellbeing, speaking at the opening of the conference, keynote speakers Marina Bowshall (CEO of Preventive Health SA) and Kim Morey (Co-Theme Leader, Aboriginal Health Equity Strategy Health Systems Research at SAHMRI), and a professional development session in the afternoon run by Kristy Schirmer on social media for public health which will provide advice on communicating via social media and networking with social media.
Cost for AHPA members: $90 or AHPA student members: $50.
