We are pleased to announce that Natalie Flew was selected for the AHPA NT Branch’s prize for The Most Outstanding Student in Health Promotion and has received a complimentary 1-year AHPA student membership and $95 cash prize. Congratulations Natalie.
Natalie Flew:
"I am honoured to receive the Australian Health Promotion Association prize for the most outstanding student (Semester 2, 2022). Studying Health Promotion at Charles Darwin University last semester, I immediately began to make connections between my previous and current studies/careers in the education and early intervention sectors. The unit broadened my understanding of the capacity of health promotion and the reach/impact it can have on communities when implemented using a holistic approach that is grounded in community engagement and a commitment to reflection and evaluation. These elements were strongly reiterated during our guest lecture with Anshul Kaul (the Branch President of the Australian Health Promotion Association, NT), who also provided real-world examples of prevention and project planning that helped us to make further connections between the role of health promotion in our future careers."
