Seniors Rights Victoria invite you to the 4th National Elder Abuse Conference in Melbourne, from 23-25 February 2016 at Pullman on the Park. The conference will see a line-up of national and international speakers, and will be crucial to prevent and resolve elder abuse.

The Health Policy Management short courses are designed for professionals, senior executives and managers in healthcare organisations, these short courses address the challenges and complexities of working in a healthcare system and further develop innovative leaders and professionals. There is also an excellent opportunity to network and an option to undertake assessment for recognition of credit towards our Health Administration postgraduate courses. The Australian and New Zealand Eating Disorders and Obesity Conference will continue for its 3rdyear, as we come together to address effective Collaboration, Education and Innovation across the common domains of Eating Disorders and Obesity.

The Australian and New Zealand Addiction Conference 2016, themed Alcohol – Other Drugs – Behavioural Addictions, Prevention, Treatment and Recovery will be held on the Gold Coast from the 19 – 20 May 2016. The optional workshops will be held on the afternoon of the 18 May.

On Topic: Ideas and Discussion is a series of facilitation talks to provoke thought, challenge perspectives and encourage discussion. The Health Promotion Social Media School is a 6-week online course designed for health promotion, public health and community development practitioners.

This course has been especially developed for practitioners and organisations with a health promotion or community development focus to understand how social media can be used as a tool and a strategy.

Course Aim

The Monash University Short Course in Health Promotion is provided to meet the growing demand for health promotion in organisations and communities in the public, private and not for profit sectors. In this course, participants will learn about health promotion concepts, frameworks and core skills to increase the success of their health promotion practice.

Participants will have opportunities to network and share experiences with people with similar interests. The course will be discussion focussed using examples from practice for practical applications of the concepts and frameworks covered in the course.

Call Me Dad is a story about men who have perpetrated, or are at risk of perpetrating, family
violence. At stake is the safety of children and partners, the stability of families, and the power we as a society have to intervene. These men struggle to maintain intimate relationships without resorting to abuse, physical or otherwise. These men are followed over several months, as they attempt to change themselves, confront the pain they have caused and take hold of a chance to transform their most precious relationships.
