Sport for all - what does it mean in NSW?

The Prevention Research Collaboration’s SPort and Active Recreation INTervention & Epidemiology Research Group [SPRINTER] is a partnership project with the NSW Office of Sport. SPRINTER collates word class evidence to shape policy that improves the health and wealth of individuals, families and communities through physical activity, active recreation and sport.

The SPRINTER group will discuss innovative projects promoting sport, active recreation and physical activity participation, toward best practice in NSW. For example, the recently launched Active Kids Program - with parents, carers and guardians across NSW eligible to claim a $100 voucher towards their kids active sport and recreation registration and participation costs.

Sports providers will share examples of how they are enabling more inclusive participation for people of different skill levels, age, gender, socio-economic status and abilities. Don’t miss out on this chance to understand the opportunities presented by sport and active recreation to achieve broad health benefits for the whole community.
