Miriam Delailomaloma

Co-President

Miriam is currently a Health Promotion Officer at Northern Sydney Local Health District focusing on Sexual Health Promotion with young people and gay men, She is registered as a Health Promotion Practitioner.

Previously she worked as a Health Promotion Officer at the University of Sydney promoting the health of international students and improving their access to health care. Key achievements of this work involved founding a Peer Health Education program where students were empowered to promote the health of their peers. The program focused on mental health promotion of international students, which involved staff and students sharing their mental health journey in a series of videos to reduce stigma and role model help seeking.

 In other roles Miriam has worked as a Research Assistant at The Matilda Centre for Research in Substance Use and Mental Health, on the OurFutures cartoon based health education courses, and at Youth Solutions working to promote health and reduce drug and alcohol related harm experienced by young people in the Macarthur and Wingecarribee regions of NSW.

 Miriam has also worked as a COVID19 Close Contact Tracer, an Academic Teacher at Western Sydney University - The College, as an Exercise and Nutrition Leader at Go4Fun, and as a Health Educator at Life Education NSW.
