The Association supports the pillars of the Strategy and commends the commitment to increased expenditure for prevention and support for workforce development. 

AHPA is pleased to announce that it has been awarded funding through the Australian Government’s Health Peak and Advisory Bodies Program 2022-2025 announced by the Minister to support the strategic intent of the Strategy.

AHPA Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) artwork design project - EOI extended

AHPA are seeking Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and designers who are interested in creating an original artwork to be used for resources related to AHPA’s RAP (currently under development).
The submission date for Expressions of interest has been extended. Submissions are now due by 5pm 28 February, 2022.

2022 AHPA Scholarships Program

The AHPA scholarship is the best way to kick-start to your career in health promotion. Winning the scholarship will pay 6 months full-time salary, working at an agency of your choice on a project you have developed. To apply, you can approach an agency with an idea for a potential project and submit an application with them, or email Myra, AHPA Scholarships Coordinator scholarshipswa@healthpromotion.org.au to be matched with an agency and a project.

Maria Pallotta-Chiarolli Fellowship for Writers

Open to mid-career writers, the fellowship is awarded to someone in recognition of their literary achievements and commitment to humanity demonstrated through their active participation and engagement in social justice issues. Applicants must be under the age of 40 and identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, living with a disability, or culturally and linguistically diverse.

Applications close 15 August 2021.
