On 20 March 2023, AHPA was invited by the Senate Community Affairs Committee to provide a written submission to the Inquiry into Concussions and repeated head trauma in contact sports.
AHPA provided broad and principled feedback to the Inquiry consistent with aims to optimise the health and wellbeing of all Australians, with recommendations relating to:
- A focus on prevention
- A national, strategic approach
- Safe and inclusive participation in sport
