The STrengthening Evaluation Practices and Strategies in Indigenous settings in Australia and New Zealand (STEPS) project aims to strengthen the cultural safety of evaluations carried out in Indigenous settings in Australia and New Zealand.

The first step of the project identified strategies and practices to strengthen the cultural safety of evaluation.

The second step aims to organise and prioritise these strategies and practices to provide organisations such as the Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA) and Australasian Evaluation Society (AES) with a road map for action. This is where we need your help.

The NT Branches of AHPA and AES are co-sponsoring a meeting to facilitate interested participants to contribute to the second step of the project.

Uncertainties and ambiguities have always played a role in our lives. Clearly over the last year or so we have in varying individual degrees experienced an acute dose of it. Becoming emotional fit means we learn how to become even more emotionally flexible and adaptable. Becoming emotional fit means we gain a deeper sense of clarity of who we are, what matters,what doesn’t matter and what shouldn’t matter.

Health literacy and equity – why it matters and what to do about it (in the midst of a global pandemic)

Presented by Professor Don Nutbeam, Executive Director, Sydney Health Partners and Professor of Public Health, School of Public Health, University of Sydney.

A number of national AHPA awards will be presented at this event including the inagural National Health Promotion Learning and Teaching Award, the Ray James Memorial Award and the Chris Rissel Reviewer Award.
