The REET Committee would like to invite you to register for the first Online Journal Club of 2022 to be held in May.
The May Online Journal Club will be the first for 2022 following the AHPA REET Committee’s successful trial conducted throughout 2020, and a second successful year in 2021. The Online Journal Club will have limited places and will only be available to Full or Corporate AHPA members (sorry, no student members at this stage).
What can I expect from participating in the Online Journal Club?
Participating in an online journal club is a great way to keep up to date with new practice and research in an area of interest, brush up on your critical appraisal skills, improve your public speaking and communication skills and collaborate with others.
The Online Journal Club meeting will be hosted online and facilitated by a member of the AHPA REET Committee. Before the meeting, a recent article from the Health Promotion Journal of Australia will be circulated for participants to read. During the meeting, participants will respond to questions posed by the facilitator, inquire about different aspects of the research design, critique the methods, and bring an enquiring mind (scepticism or praise) as to how this might inform your work in health promotion practice, policy or research.
The event is free for AHPA members.
