Michele Herriot - National Co-Vice President

Michele has over 35 years experience in the area of health promotion, primary health care and public health at the state and national level and runs her own health promotion consulting business. Michele has extensive experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of health-related policies, programs, campaigns and services. She has worked on a range of issues including obesity, physical activity, tobacco control, falls prevention and chronic illness (eg asthma, diabetes and heart disease) as well as working with different settings including schools, local government, workplaces, general practice and community services. A focus on redressing inequities in health outcomes underpins Michele’s approach to all her work.
As a consultant, Michele has completed work for the World Health Organization, VicHealth, Medicare Locals, state and federal health departments and community organisations including Asthma Australia. She has been an AHPA member for many years.
