Dr Marguerite Sendall - National Co-Vice President

Marguerite teaches and researches in the School of Public Health and Social Work, QUT. Marguerite coordinates and teaches the core qualitative methodology unit in the Bachelor of Public Health and the foundation unit for health promotion in the Masters of Public Health. Marguerite is a Senior Fellow, Higher Education Academy. Marguerite is the Director of Postgraduate Research and supervises higher research degree students undertaking qualitative research projects. Marguerites area of expertise is settings based health promotion, in particular, workplace health promotion and Participatory Action research (PAR) as a strategy to enable behaviour change for hard-to-reach high-risk workers such as miners, truckies and bus drivers. Marguerite has been a Queensland Branch Committee member since 2007 and joined the National Board of Directors in 2015. Currently, Marguerite is Regional Director, South-West Pacific Region, and a member of the Accreditation Review Committee, International Union for Health Promotion and Education.
