Anthea Maynard
Co-Coordinator Tasmania

Anthea is a health promotion practitioner who has had diverse professional an voluntary roles in Tasmania, north QLD and Zimbabwe. She has worked in primary health care, Aboriginal health, holistic spiritual health, community nutrition and food security within these unique communities.

Currently, Anthea works across three roles: executive director of Food Plants International, Team Leader with Launceston City Baptist and a mentoring officer for Fostering Hope. These roles allow Anthea to pursue her passion for health promotion in intergenerational faith communities, the social justice sector, and food security and ecological sustainability.

Anthea has been an AHPA member since 2013, and has a bachelor of biomedical science, master of public health and tropical medicine and graduate certificate in children and families ministry. She lives in a rural village in northern Tasmania with her husband and youngest daughter.
