Past ACT Health Promotion Awards
In conjunction with ACT Health, AHPA ACT Branch co-sponsored the 2007 ACT Health Promotion Awards. Nominations for ACT projects and individuals were sought for the ACT 2007 Health Promotion Awards in the following categories:
- Outstanding Achievement to Promote Healthy Lifestyles
Projects that primarily address behavioural risk factors and lifestyle enhancing factors for better health and wellbeing outcomes for the individual and population groups. - Outstanding Achievement to Promote Health and Wellbeing in Settings
Projects that primarily aim to develop health and wellbeing in settings and contribute to supportive environments (e.g. schools, workplaces, communities, hospitals and other health care settings). - Outstanding Achievement to Create Health Promoting Organisations
Projects that primarily seek to improve the health and wellbeing of staff and client groups through organisational change and development of healthy policies and practices e.g. sporting clubs, event management, community organisations, government agencies.
Additionally two health promotion awards were also made.
- The ACT Health Award for Outstanding Innovation in Health Promotion
This Award will be assessed from all nominations received in categories 1 - 3, so no formal nominations are sought for this award. - The AHPA Award for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual to Health Promotion Practice
The Australian Health Promotion Association ACT Branch sponsors this Award, and it is open to individuals and students.
All awards were presented at the ACT 2007 Health Promotion Awards Dinner on 5 December 2007.
